The Wrap Up…Stay Tuned for Next Year
This year’s events were a huge success. The 4th Annual Nova Cruise to CPP gathered more than 120 Novas together for a day full of cruising, shop tours, goody bags, raffle prizes, burgers and plenty of “Nova-raderie”. Hedman Performance graciously donated a set of headers and CPP gave away a Nova Mini Sub Frame Kit and 3rd Gen Upper and Lower Tubular Control Arms to some lucky winners. Special thanks goes out to RK Smith for organizing the cruise once again, and to the members of SoCal Novas and Steve’s Nova Site for getting the word out about this awesome annual event. St. Patrick’s Day marked the day for our Open House gathering. Despite the wet weather, hundreds of classic cars and trucks showed up early at CPP. Several local clubs organized cruises to our event including: SoCal Novas, led by RK Smith; Pickups Limited, led by Chris Travers; and the C-10 Club, led by John Oro. Even on a grey day, it was an awesome site to see these beauties roll up to CPP.
We did not disappoint with our jam-packed goody bag, weighing in at a hefty 8 lbs., thanks to our generous sponsors. Several shop tours took place throughout the day, giving participants an in-depth look inside our manufacturing, build and shipping departments, and a chance to get out of the rain for a bit!
Polly’s Pies kept everyone warm with their hot coffee, cider, cookies and cinnamon rolls in the morning and In-N-Out Burger arrived at lunchtime to serve up some delicious hamburgers courtesy of CPP.
The much-anticipated raffle began after lunch, with thousands of dollars of raffle prizes given away. Even the intermittent gusts of rain and wind could not dampen the crowd’s spirits as they grasped their raffle tickets, hoping to hear their number being called out. At the end of the day, two very lucky winners walked away with the grand prizes; Total Cost Involved’s 4-Link Rear Suspension Kit (value $975) and Scott’s Hot Rod’s Complete Mustang II IFS System valued at $3000.
